Double glazed glass units become misted (develop condensation) between the glass panels. This condensation can’t be wiped away from either side of the glass and is caused by the breakdown of the seal around the unit. A damaged or deteriorated seal on a glass unit will allow water to get in-between the glass panes causing condensation. As time goes by, this condensation can also trap dust and dirt particles causing the windows to look dirty on the inside.

How is the repair of misted sealed glass units carried out?

Firstly, we will come and visit you to check the condition of the window, 99.9% of the time we will measure the existing glass unit and provide a replacement sealed unit. We then remove the glass from your window and replace with nice new glass that carries a 5 year guarantee!

Once we are done (normally a fairly quick and clean procedure) you will have a window that looks as good as new which as previously mentioned will be covered by our insurance backed guarantee.
